Q.How to apply for a bed?
If you want to apply for a bed, please visit the website of the Student Housing Service Division of the Office of Student Affairs for related information

Q.How to cancel a bed?
Students who want to cancel their beds shall download the application form for withdrawal via the website of the Student Housing Service Division and then take relevant documents to the Male Dormitory Service Center to complete the withdrawal procedures.
Documents to be attached:
1. Payment receipt
2. A photocopy of the student ID card (or a photocopy of the ID card
3. A photocopy of the bankbook (those who have not paid accommodation fees do not need to prepare it)
Q.How do I apply for Internet access?
Connect to the Internet → Open the Browser → Input Personal Information according to Instructions → Reboot → Succeeded.

Q.How to deal with the fault of the network?
You can go to the network management room to find the network administrator for processing.

Q.I have applied for the repair of the facility in the dorm. How long does it take to repair?
According to the contract specifications of the cooperative manufacturers of male and female dorms, the repair will take:
1. Civil engineering facilities (beds, doors, blinds, etc.): seven working days.
2. Water and electricity facilities (bathroom facilities, lights, etc.): three working days.
3. Air-conditioning facilities: three working days.
The above time for repair may vary due to factors such as material preparation by manufacturers or school procurement procedures. If you have any questions, please contact the Male/ Female Dormitory Service Center.
Q.My family members want to send me a letter (parcel). What is the address?
For male dorms, please send the letter/parcel to National Chung Hsing University with the address of "No. 145, Xingda Road, South District, Taichung City 402, Taiwan".

Q.The winter (summer) vacation is approaching. Does the school provide services for the students to send their luggage home?
To facilitate students sending their luggage home before winter (summer) vacation, the post office or other freight companies will dispatch staff to male dorms to help students handle their personal belongings.
Q.How do I apply for a motorcycle (bicycle) parking permit?
Please apply it according to the announcement of the male dorms for each academic year.
Q.Can both of my bicycle and motorcycle be parked in the male dorm?
Due to the limited parking area, you can only apply for a parking permit for either a bicycle or a motorcycle.
Q.Do male dorms provide small kitchens or electric cookers for students to use?
There is a small kitchen in the basement of Lizhai Building, which provides electric cookers, ovens, and microwave ovens for students to use (the air-conditioning card shall be purchased before use).
Q.Do dorms provide refrigerators?
Each dorm building is equipped with 1~3 refrigerators, which are open 24 hours a day, and are administrated by special personnel. Please read the guidelines of usage and management of public refrigerators before use.
Q.How much does laundry service cost?
There are washing machines (TWD 20 /time), spin-dryers (free), and clothes dryers (TWD 10/30 minutes) on each floor of the dorm building.
Q.If I do not use the wired network, can I skip the Internet fee?
No. The wired network is the additional infrastructure for each bed, and everyone shall pay for it.

Q.How do I apply the Ethernet? How to deal with the problems of the Network?
Connect the network cable → turn on the browser → visit the site : 140.120.4.13 → fill the data → restart → successful.
If you have any questions of Network connect, you can ask the network administrator of dormitory or go to the service center to inquire.
Q.How to report broken dormitory facility?
Please go to NCHU Single Sign On System → Student Affairs Information System → Student Dormitory → Dormitory Repair Application System, and fill the application..
Q.If I have already reported for repairing broken dormitory equipment, when it will be repaired?
According to the contract specifications of each partner manufacturer of the dormitory, the completion period is as follows:
1. Civil engineering (bed group, bedroom door, shutters, etc.): three working days.
2. Water and electricity (bath and toilet equipment, electric lights, etc.): three working days.
3. Air conditioner: three working days.
The above repair completion period may differ due to relevant factors such as the manufacturer's preparation of materials or the school's procurement process, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Second Village Dormitory’s service center.

Q.Does Xingda Second Village Dormitory provide parking areas for bicycles and motorcycles?
Yes, the bicycle parking area is on the B1 floor of Second Village Dormitory, while the motorcycle parking area is on the B2 floor. But first floor is not allow parking. Parking should have a parking license. Due to the amount of parking space, students can only choose between a bicycle or a motorcycle parking license when applying.
Q. Does Xingda Second Village Dormitory provide a small kitchen or electric cooker for students to use?
The second floor of the south building has a small kitchen with induction cookers, ovens, microwaves, and other equipment for students to use. In addition, each odd-numbered floor in every building has a simple heating area with electric cookers and microwaves for students to heat food.
Q.Does the dormitory provide refrigerators?
Yes, each dormitory building has one refrigerator, please read the regulations before using. Students are allowed to place refrigerator in their rooms after applying for permission.
Q.How much is the washing machine in the dormitory charged?
There are washing machines (NTD 20/time), spinners (free), and dryers (NTD 10/30 minutes) on each floor of the dormitory.
Q.Can I refund the internet fee if I don't use the Ethernet?
The Ethernet is a basic facility attached to each bed, therefore the internet fee cannot be refunded.
Q.What are the public spaces in Xingda Second Village Dormitory?
The second floor of the south building has a reading room, leisure area, and a kitchen. The first floor of west building has a sports room with billiards and table tennis.
Q.Are there vending machines in Xingda Second Village Dormitory?
Yes, there is a beverage vending machine behind the west building.

There are sports facilities in the basement of Qin-Xuan Building for students to use, please apply to the service center according to the regulations.
Q.Why are the drainage facilities of Cheng-Xuan Building slow?
The drainage facilities of Cheng-Xuan Buildings adopt insect-proof drainage holes. Students shall regularly clean up the hair and dirt to keep the drainage smooth. If the hair gets stuck under the floor drain grating, you can use the repair application system to apply for repair services, and the service center will help you handle it. Additionally, there is a Chunghwa Post office near Nantou dormitory, which is an 8-minute walk or 1-minute drive away. Students can also choose to send packages themselves.

There are sports facilities on the first floor of Pine House XII Building for students to use, please apply to the service center according to the regulations.

At present, there are 3 washing machines, 2 dryers, and 1 spin dryer available for students to use for free on the first floor of Pine House XII Building. In the future, if an outsourced vendor moves in, the machines may switch to coin-operated payment.
